church in the 'dungeon' and baptism

Nov-2021

And Jesus came and said to them, β€œAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20 (ESV)

This is the first in-person GFI post NSW COVID Lockdown Chapter 2 where we farewell the Bakons, having Baptism, and lunch together afterwards πŸ—

Farewelling the Bakons

It was a lovely sunny day and a great day as we had the privilege of seeing our brothers and sisters making a public declaration that they are entrusting their lives to the One and the only true God!

And, of course! Having the sermon delivered by our beloved Pastor Charles Gajus!

We heard that Charles woke up 2.30 AM that day and rehearsing his sermon. Next thing we know, he woke up again 7.30 AM for a Woolies run, buying ingredients for our lunch! After the event, he left us all at his place as he needs to attend a conference 😭

As a church, we really thank God for Charles's and his family service for us!

Coming from a non-Christian family background, it has been quite a journey for Nadia and Sonia to finally get baptised. That being said, mind that the 'dunking in the water' itself signifies nothing! It doesn't add or take away anything from the salvation that we have in Christ. Here is a snippet from book provided by Charles for those who are considering to be baptised in GFI.

In short, baptism is just a symbol, it is a public declaration that you have follow Jesus as your Lord and Saviour!

All glory be to Christ, our King!
